Therapy and Supervision Offerings

Let’s start with a free, 10 minute consultation call to see if we’re a good fit!

All individual services are offered both in-person and telehealth. Group offerings are only telehealth at this time.

Initial Intake

Our therapeutic relationship will start with a session in which we spend the hour together getting an overview of your story, relationships, and concerns. This session looks different than every other - I’ll have my computer out to actively take notes, we’ll gather history but will need to keep things fairly brief due to time constraints, and at the end of the hour, I will provide recommendations based on the diagnosis I think best fits from what you’ve shared. We’ll discuss next steps and the therapeutic models I think might be the best fit to get us started.

If you are using insurance, this session is billed as the code: 90791

Individual therapy sessions are offered at a frequency based on your needs, typically weekly; however, for some, twice weekly or every other month is best. We will adjust how often we meet over the course of our work together. Sometimes I have clients who take months, even years off, who reach back out to reconnect due to an increase in symptoms or a new life stressor.

Insurance breaks down session times as the following (these are the codes that will be billed to your insurance company):

90832: 30 minute follow-up session (16 - 37 min)

90834: 45 minute follow-up session (38 - 52 min)

90837: 60 minute follow-up session (53 min +), we meet for 53-55 min

Individual Therapy

For insurance purposes, one person will be determined to be the “identified client”, with an intake and diagnosis on file.

Like individual therapy, couples therapy is offered at a frequency based on your needs, most typically weekly or every other week. Generally, both parties are present each session; however, we can explore what’s best for your situation and adjust as appropriate. Couples sessions are typically 55 minutes long.

90846: Family or couples session in which you, the client, aren’t present

90847: Family or couples session with the client present

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a powerful therapeutic option in which you get to connect with others who are navigating similar struggles with a therapist present to offer psychoeducation and resources as appropriate.

I am currently offering a weekly process group. This group is best for people open to a longer-term group connection and meets virtually, Wednesdays from 12 - 12:55 pm.

This group is billed as 90853 to insurance.

I am licensed to practice in Minnesota, New York, and am an active member of PsyPact, with the ability to practice in all active PsyPact States

Individual Supervision

I have been offering supervision to pre-licensed providers for over 15 years. I am a board approved supervisor for the MN Board of Psychology and the MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy. Additionally, I am able to be a secondary therapist for the MN Board of Social Work and the MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.

I describe my supervision style as very organic and supportive. I see my role as a teacher, consultant, and sometimes even a therapist (within appropriate boundaries of course). My aim is to help you develop your own clinical style, diagnostic philosophy, and documentation standards while offering perspective from my years of experience and areas of expertise.

I bring a strong, trauma-informed lens, experience from multiple levels of care (outpatient, IOP, and inpatient) for individuals, couples and groups.

Anyone with a previous supervisory relationship with me will be able to continue our work together at a significantly discounted rate and/or an extended payment plan. I am also open to discussing financial concerns about accessing supervision with me for anyone else and am hopeful we can work something out that is mutually beneficial.

Quality supervision is paramount to a strong start in your career, I’d love to support you in this process!

Group Supervision

For the boards listed above, I also provide group supervision, typically consisting of 4 - 8 pre-licensed or newly licensed clinicians.

Group supervision is a wonderful opportunity to build a professional network and gain perspective not only for me and my professional lens, but from the varied experiences that peers bring to the space.

Like individual supervision, I describe my group sup style as very organic and supportive. I see my role as a teacher, consultant, and sometimes even a therapist (within appropriate boundaries of course).

The group time is often where participants consult on specific clients. Groups have also run the gamut of holding space for the impact of workplace challenges, ethical dilemmas, and the personal and professional impacts of the current culture and political climate. We are our best tool and as such, little to nothing is off the table.

I have a strong sensorimotor, trauma informed lens and bring that to the table, while also holding space for other modalities and interests.

As with individual therapy, I will be offering discounted group supervision rates to anyone I have a previously established supervisory relationship with. I am also glad to chat about financial barriers and working something out to help you access quality group supervision.
